The French striker went down in the 88th minute and left his place on the pitch for Arsenal's Olivier Giroud. Karim Benzema himself confirmed after the game that he was hit and his injury isn't a big deal.

Another scary situation for Real Madrid fans happened in the 88th minute of France's game against Spain. Benzema, whose powerful shot in the first half was saved by Casillas, left the game with problems on his knee. Arbeloa, Marcelo and Coentrao had been injured, and with Higuaín's small hip problems, Real Madrid couldn't afford to lose Benzema.

The French player confirmed after the game that he will likely be able to feature in Real Madrid's next games against Celta Vigo and Dortmund by saying "I'm fine".
