French newspaper L'Equipe divulged this Saturday that PSG President Nasser al-Khelaifi met with Gonzalo Higuain and Kaka last week to discuss a move to the French side this summer. According to the newspaper, both players are seen as priorities for reinforcing the French squad next season.
Little used by Jose Mourinho in the Merengue line-up (he only started 16 games in 2011/2012) and one of the highest salaries on Real Madrid, Kaka could have his exit facilitated since the Spanish club won't demand an elevated transfer fee to release the Brazilian. The tabloid has announced that Kaka has requested a meeting with PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti, with whom he shared great moments in Milan.
With relation to Higuain, PSG might encounter some more resistance from Real. As opposed to Kaka, the Argentine attacker has a place in Mourinho's plans as well as the fans' hearts. His reason for leaving, therefore, would be the constant competition with Karim Benzema for the starting striker position. If Higuain does not choose PSG, another name the French club are tossing around is that of Uruguayan/Liverpool international Luis Suarez.
