I just do not understand this at all. Yes, it is Marca, so take that with a grain of salt, but this looks to be more than just a rumor. If true, I have just lost even more faith in Perez, Mou, etc. How do you allow your best youth player leave when he meets a major need in your current squad?

Other media outlets are reporting that we are interested in Maicon. Why would we spend money on an aging player who's current form is much, much worse than what we already have?
