Love they say is learnt by giving it , life they say is learnt by living it. In the fast paced life of football players, every time they step up a level they have to learn the tricks of the trade while playing the game and not away from it in training.A player going through these motions is none other than Nuri Sahin.

Many of us are wondering what is happening to Nuri Sahin? A player of such pedigree , who was the best bundesliga player, who was touted to as good as Xabi Alonso for us in the future , why is he being treated so shabbily ? Why is he relegated to play LB when players of lesser quality than him are playing in midfield?

The answers I believe don't lie in the short term but in the long term. We have seen his distribution is very good, his eye for making a defense splitting pass(well he doesn't split the defense , he more often lobs it over the defense , a very measured lob which lands on the feet of the rushing forward) but he needs to tighten up his defensive skills too, to take the hallowed place that so rightfully belongs to him.

And as we know Mourinho and the ways he goes about getting a player to give their all in becoming the player they are capable of becoming , I believe like Benzema, Sahin is going to shine soon. His brief stint at LB , and as the season progresses we will see him more often at Midfield, will help him to grow as a player, boost his confidence and propel him to the stratosphere of Bernabeu.
