Even Ronaldo's critics will (grudgingly) agree that he is one of the greatest talents of all time. Over the past few seasons he has been the single most important player for our club. He has set goal-scoring records and delivered in crucial games. The entire team has been built around him.
Recently, however, he has spoken out about being unhappy. While all fans do expect the club to look into the matter and address our star player's concerns, this incident does make one wonder - how good would the team be without Ronaldo? We will be talking about a team with players like Higuain, Benzema, Ozil, Di Maria, Modric, Alonso, Khedira etc. Will these players put together be good enough to beat Barca, win La Liga and the Champions league?
Personally, I prefer a team that is less focussed on a single individual and thrives on collective effort. It does make for better viewing.
But then, that's just me. What do you think?
