Raphäel Varane Leaves France's Training Session - Bernabéu Bites, 10/10/2013

The French player seems to be having trouble with his knee again

  • This might not be a big deal. But it's normal to be worried about Varane's knee after the defender quit France's training session. He will have tests on that knee this Thursday to see if this is a small pain due to the last two games he's played for Real Madrid or a bigger problem. Fingers crossed for him.
  • Rumour time! 'As' report Robert Lewandowski might not sign for Bayern Munich after all. Therefore, he would be available for Real Madrid during this very same winter window. The Polish striker could not participate in this Champions League for Real Madrid though. He would also be available for 10 or 12M€ -his contract expires next summer- if 'As' are to be believed.
  • According to 'ABC', Ancelotti will finally try to implement the 4-3-3 formation that suits Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale best. Illarramendi, Isco and Modric will need to get used to each other because that system requires a good balance in the midfield line. Good-bye 4-4-2?
  • 'Punto Pelota' time now. The Spanish TV program reported this Wednesday that Iker Casillas will be helped by Florentino Pérez if he wants a way out of the club. The President will not force him to stay "because of all the good times he has had with Real Madrid".
