If Cristiano Got Injured

With two of our most effective midfielders out injured at the time of writing this, James and Modric, the team is performing quite well with our impressive depth. But could a 2-3 month injury for the world's number one goal scorer put an end to the impeccable win streak for Real? With the scary potential of losing the club's greatest winger/striker, how could we be able to cope? Here are some possible scenarios:

  • James Takes His Place: James is without a doubt out for the Club World Cup. But he should be back into action by January. He has stated before that he would like to be placed in a more attacking role. We would be able to keep the 4-3-3 formation with a BBR to start up, poising a near equal threat to the BBC.
  • LET BALE FREE: It's no secret Gareth Bale has been limited in his current positioning. Ancelloti (God Bless Him) hasn't been allowing Bale to make the runs that made him the world's most expensive footballer. Pushing him up with Big Ben in a 4-4-2 could let us see the Welshman rack up goals game after game. He grew up as a fullback and is an expert at getting up and down the field and deserves to be given more room to work with.
  • Isco?: Ever since his incredible performance in Real's 3-1 rout of Barcelona in October, he has generally been given first team preference over Illara. But now with Illara starting the midfield could incorporate the young Castilla starlet Medran while pushing Isco into a forward position. With his world class curl against Almeria from Ronaldo's usual position, he has proven he can handle the left flank. That paired with his seemingly never ending stamina and willingness to sacrifice himself for the ball could almost give the left side of Real's lineup a full attacking and defending force with Isco and Marcello.
  • Chicharito Gets First Team Time: Although he has his ups and downs, Javier Hernandez is a quality player, there's no questioning that. But due to his lack of playing time, nevertheless starts, his form can't really continue from game to game. His fairy tale performance against Deportivo with his 2 amazing goals that were from the left side say something when talking about his ability to handle that sort of position. The only things standing between him and the starting position is his fitness and attitude. Ancelloti has been giving him some time lately but in his poor effort performance against Ludogorets in the late third of the game may pose some difficulties for his starting lineup selections.
  • Jesse: Its very simple, he's a fan favorite, Jesse was brought onto the team for situations like this. He will be the successor to Ronaldo if he stays with the club. However, upon returning from 8 months of injury and recovery, he's still getting back into shape and hasn't played anything more than an hour of true game time. However, an hour might be all that we need considering Ancelloti's interesting tactical substitutions as of lately where he likes to sub off Benzema and other forwards to put in Arbeloa and Coentrao, meanwhile pushing Carvajal and Marcello to the midfield. Jesse might just be the right fit with this is mind.
Now hopefully this is all just a theory and our Cristiano remains healthy for the rest of his career. It would be a shame to see such a great go down as his performances keep sky rocketing.
