Remember to take this report with a gran of salt. It's coming from the Spanish media after all. François Gallardo, the reporter who first broke the news about Mesut Özil and Gonzalo Higuaín joining Arsenal and Napoli, said during Thursday's show that Real Madrid will try to sign Edison Cavani next summer.
Cavani is not comfortable in Paris. He's playing on the right wing and he would want to join Real Madrid.
But, also according to Gallardo, PSG will try to land Croatian midfielder Luka Modric in that deal. Modric's growing importance in Real Madrid's formations will surely be a problem for the French club, as a potential move out of the club doesn't seem very likely.
Still, there's a long way to go until next summer. Karim Benzema is playing brilliantly and a world-class striker is not needed right now.
