Are you truly supporting Hasta el Final?

Hello, fellow madridistas. Been a lurker for long, but felt the need to speak up.

I have followed Real Madrid since the days of El Buitre and Hugol. I saw Zamorano score goal after goal, the incredible backheel of Redondo (and Guti's and now CR7's), and jumped like crazy when Zizou scored the most beautiful goal in a Champions League final. I have also seen this team get eliminated in the Champions League over and over, seen the aching Manita and the 2-6. I have seen this team in its best and its worst. This team has had many different setups, different ways to play, different type of players. Yet, during all these years, I've felt that the one identifying factor that makes it different from any other team in the world is not its money (ManU, ManCity and others will come), its Fabrica (underrated in this Masia era), its Galacticos (relatively recent occurrence), and sadly not its Señorio (I miss that part...). No, the main factor has been its spirit: Real Madrid has always been indomitable. No matter how well or how bad we played, we never gave up, never surrendered. Remember the semifinal against BVB? The league in 2006-2007?

This is not just about the team itself, but everything around it. Back in the 2006-2007 league we were far, far behind Barcelona, and not only the team focus and believed we would overcome, but the press and the fans were as indomitable. We shared the same spirit. We would fight and gnash and run and yell all the way until the end. Everyone believed in it, and in the end that spirit was rewarded.

So, all this is simply to call for everyone to bring that spirit back, for fans, for press and the team. Everyone. Sure, la Liga seems impossible, but as it isn't a mathematical certainty it should be our duty as madridistas to never say it's over (that's for Barcelona - they tend to be always-so-pessimistic). Want to make a call for reality? The reality is that we can still be champions. Sure, Atleti and Barca need to lose, but while it is possible, I will continue to believe. Stop saying la Liga is over! Do it once it is truly gone!

Hasta el Final, Vamos Real!

Regards,

ER

PS. I wish Carlo and/or Zizou reminds the team of this.
