Real Madrid's play was quite solid, but the team left some impressive highlights as well. While some fans might remember James' cross to Gareth Bale in the first half or even the Welsh's assist on Cristiano Ronaldo's opener, this combination is probably the highlight of the game. Brilliant play by Modric and Bale.

The finishing could certainly use some work but the calm and fluid precision with which the Real Madrid players moved the ball from their own third to Sevilla's box was outstanding. This is the kind of passing you'd expect to see from a team deep into the season when the players are fully familiar and comfortable in each other, not in a preseason game where some guys have only been together for a week or so.
If the team keeps on progressing and continue to understand each others' tendencies, we may be in for a special season.
