Many people claim that a necessary condition for David de Gea to join Real Madrid this summer is that captain Iker Casillas leaves the club first. If that were true, we might be getting a little closer to signing Manchester United's goalkeeper, since Julen Lopetegui's FC Porto has reportedly made an offer for Casillas and the deal will be done in the next forty-eight hours.

RTVE were the first to report that Casillas would for sure leave Real Madrid this summer, back on June 10th, and they are once again the first to talk about Porto's offer. Since Porto can't meet Casillas' expectations in terms of money, Real Madrid would pay part of his salary so he will be able to earn virtually the same amount of money he would make in Madrid for the next couple of years, a strategy that our managing staff used back in 2010 when Raúl was sold to Schalke 04.
