Sorry we're a little late on this guys, but it has been a packed week. Last night's match was definitely packed as well--not with work, but with goals. I unfortunately missed the match, but I hear it was quite a spectacle, with Madrid mauling Lyon 4-0 with goals from Karim Benzema, Sami Khedira, and Lyon keeper Hugo Lloris off a deflection from Mesut Ozil, as well as goal from Sergio Ramos that rounded off a resounding Champions League victory for the Whites.

Whenever we hear the name Olympique Lyon, some of us madridistas are brought back to a not-so-happy memory of Real being eliminated from the Last 16. However, last year we blew past them at the Bernabéu and this year we saw a similar result.

Arbeloa was also on hand to discuss the victory in the mixed zone:

Overall, this was a positive performance from Real Madrid, and hopefully we'll see similar results in the later stages of the competition.

Los blancos are in action yet again this Saturday against Malaga in La Rosaleda.
