As I reported earlier in the week, French midfielder Lassana Diarra was a no show for training and that could lead to his exit from los blancos. It's being reported that he had a meeting at the Bernabeu with club management. The meeting lasted a grand total of 45 minutes, which was about discussing a transfer.
It's been no secret that he had fallen out of grace with Mourinho, and with the summer arrival of Nuri Sahin there isn't really a need for him positionally. Being left out of the U.S. tour and then not showing up for training didn't help his case for staying at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Several teams are interested in the French international: Juventus, Galastasaray and Tottenham have all expressed interest, but the latter is most likely where Diarra would like to go as he wants to head back to the Premiership. He is under contract until 2013, and according to the report, RM has set a transfer price of £17.4 million (€20 million). Diarra is a defensive midfielder who can also play right back.
It's not like he's a major player for los blancos as it is, and the transfer fee isn't astronomical so I don't see why someone wouldn't pick him up, as he has no future at the Bernabeu.
