La Liga: 4th Week Breakdown

After a surprising last week of la Liga,Week 4 is about to begin. There are not a whole lot of interesting games this week, but the teams will be looking to get easy wins since Week 5 is going to be played this incoming Tuesday and Wednesday. This is going to be a transition weekm but we all know that these kinds of fixtures can be really dangerous.

Our team plays in the Ciutat de Valencia Stadium Sunday at 20:00 and luckily for me, I will be in the game!

This Liga Week starts up with Valencia playing against Sporting Gijón in El Molinón at 18:00. Valencia has started their season great winning their two games. On the other hand, Sporting has not earned a single point since the season started. The ches rested some of their starters in their first Champions League game, so I think they will win this game making it three wins out of three before facing Barcelona on Wednesday. My pick is a Valencia win by 0-2.

Also at 18:00 Villarreal visits Granada. The Andalusian team has lost their first two games in the first division in quite a while. Villarreal has lost some of the spark they showed last season. They lost against Bayern Munich in the Champions League and they only have one point in la Liga. I was pretty comfident about Villarreal's ability to replace Cazorla, but since this player headed to Málaga the yellow submarine is not as floatable. Granada is so weak that I still guess Villarreal will get the win. Villarreal gets the three points by a 0-2. Mallorca and Málaga will play their game simultaneously. Pellegrini's team got an easy win in their last la Liga game. They are trying to combine the adaptation of the whole team with the high expectations they've grown in the whole city. Málaga will win 1-2.

Two hours later Barcelona will receive Osasuna. They will be trying to win again after their last two draws against Real Sociedad and AC Milan. They have received two goals in each of these two games, and they are surely accusing Puyol and Pique's injuries. I am pretty sure that they will introduce their two centerbacks again, and I hardly believe that they will finish another game without getting the win. Barcelona wins 3-0.

We got a Madrid derby Sunday at midday with Rayo visiting Getafe. This is an intriguing game. Rayo has been playing really well although they only have two draws. We managed to beat Getafe in their last week visit to Bernabeu, but their image was pretty good. I really think Rayo can get the win, Sandoval has armed a nice team and I am looking forward to see them improve. 1-2 win by Rayo Vallecano.

At 16:00 Espanyol will go to Zaragoza. I don't know what to feel about the pericos. They've sold Osvaldo and Callejón, but they've signed Vladimir Weiss in a loan from Manchester City. It is likely that this game finishes in a draw. I think a 1-1 tie is probable.

Racing Santander is visiting the Vicente Calderón to face Atlético Madrid. Falcao, Diego and Turan will try to get their first three points of their Liga road after yesterday's win against Celtic Glasgow in the Europe League. Racing is another one of the weakest teams of la Liga, an Atlético is getting used to their new players really well. Atleti will get a 1-3 win.

We are the ones that wrap up this week by visiting Levante. We are not sure about whether Cristiano is ready to play after the stitches ge got. Maybe Mourinho is planning to introduce some changes in the starting lineup. We will post the game's preview soon enough so you are able to check the latest news about the game, but I will say that I expect our team to get a 0-2 win with my in the attendance.
