In Mourinho's Words: Pre-Game Vs. Granada Press Conference

Real Madrid's training session was opened to the fans at Valdebebas as a gift from the club. After the practice, Mourinho attended the media and answered questions about the Málaga game and his post-game reactions.

I liked Özil's game against Málaga. Of course there is not going to be a big reaction from me and the lineup tomorrow. These players have won 20 games and just lost one, it would not be normal to lose the confidence they've built for just one bad first half.

When asked which competitions he is more focused on, Mourinho gave an answer that might surprise some Real Madrid fans:

Yes, it's the Liga. I know the Champions League is the El Dorado of the competitions, but sometimes you win it without deserving it, and sometimes you don't win it because of small things coming together in a matchup. Most of the times, La Liga has a winner that deserves it.

There have been some transfer rumors involving Kaká and PSG, but when asked about whether he's counting on the Brazilian player, Mourinho gave a short answer.

Yes.

Pep Guardiola won the IFFHS award for Best Coach of the Year:

He deserves it. But I hope he doesn't need to wait as much as me, because I won it last year and I still don't have the award.

The first half against Málaga was very disappointing, but Mourinho looks at it in a positive way:

The players are not stupid. They know when they don't play good. I have no problems with any of them, they know the leg could be already over but instead we have a tough match next Tuesday. They proved their mental skills by coming back from a sure loss, maybe it was a positive experience.

Now the fans will know that this team can overcome a 0-2 deficit, so maybe it was good for them also if next time something similar happens.

Real Madrid is expecting 5,000 Granada fans in Bernabeu's stands tomorrow:

First of all, I want to give my compliments to Granada's people. Having 5,000 fans traveling almost a thousand of kilometers to see an away game is not usual in the Spanish league. They are strong, they defend great and they have got some good results in tough places, so I expect a difficult match.

Real Madrid plays against Granada tomorrow at 20:00 local time. In Mourinho's Words will come back with the Post-Game Press Conference.
