Alcoyano Vs. Real Madrid, Copa del Rey 2012: Match Preview and Match Thread

Copa del Rey is about to start for Real Madrid. Even though this first two games shouldn't be a problem for Mourinho's team, it's always interesting to see how the team's bench players are. Kaká, Albiol, Callejón, Adán and some other canteranos will have their chance against Alcoyano.

Mourinho has not called up Özil, Cristiano Ronaldo, Alonso, Casillas, Pepe and Ramos. But it should still be an interesting game for every Real Madrid fan as some bench players will have the chance to prove their coach that they are still able to compete with Real Madrid's jersey. Spanish defender Nacho Fernández will possibly have the chance to start at one of Real Madrid's wings, while reserve goalkeeper Antonio Adán will be guarding Real Madrid's goal.

But this could also be a good chance to see how Kaká, Callejón or Morata are mixing with the team. Furthermore, Raúl Albiol will try to recover the team's third center back status. Maybe Mourinho plans to give Álex Fernández and José Rodríguez (not Jesé) some minutes. Both of them are two of the best prospects in La Fábrica. José Rodríguez is a midfielder that moves the ball really well, and given how thin the team is in that position, he might as well have the chance to start.

One way or another, it would be good for Real Madrid to close this tie up just like Barcelona did against Alavés yesterday.

Feel free to comment on the game in this very post, we will have the lineups updated as soon as they're official.
