Road to Promotion: Castilla Beats Cádiz 0-3, One Step Closer to Segunda Division

The young guns at Real Madrid's second team have beaten Cádiz CF at the Ramón de Carranza by a 0-3 margin and will play next Sunday at the Alfredo Di Stefano to finally get promoted. Two goals and one assist by Joselu decided the game for Toril's players.

Nobody expected Castilla to beat Cádiz in their own stadium. The Andalusian team hadn't lost a single game at home and were one of the best defensive sides of the whole Segunda División B, but Joselu's stellar performance allowed his team to get a fine margin for the second game of the Promotion Leg.

This promotion would be very important for the young squad since they would have the chance to compete against good teams like Elche, UD Las Palmas, Deportivo, and also the relegated Villarreal, Sporting Gijón and Racing Santander. The players could use these games for growth in order to become an option for Real Madrid's first team. Experience and competitiveness is exactly what Morata, Carvajal, Joselu, Jesé and Alex might need to have more chances with Mourinho's team.

Joselu scored Castilla's first two goals (one of them with his heel) and rounded up his great game by passing Álvaro Morata in the last minutes of the game to score the third goal.

A 0-3 margin is a very important one, but there's one more game to go and Alberto Toril will need to keep his players focused on Sunday's game (12:00 CET). Cádiz will surely give everything they have to fight for the comeback, and Real Madrid's Academy players don't have a lot of experience in this kind of situation.
