Real Madrid starts its "official" preseason in a game against Los Angeles Galaxy (4:30 CET). The Galaxy is in the heat of the MLS competition already, so they should be in much better shape than Mourinho's team. They're one of the best teams in the country and could be a tough squad to beat, with David Beckham and American star Landon Donovan in the roster.
José Mourinho made the list public--no player that traveled to the preseason stage will miss the match. This will be the first time in this preseason that the fans will be able to see Cristiano Ronaldo, Iker Casillas and their international teammates, and it will also be interesting to see how much playing time Nuri Sahin gets.
Spanish tabloids have reported that the Portuguese coach is not interested in the midfielder, playing him in the left back spot and introducing canteranos whenever he needs a replacement for Alonso, Lass or Khedira. It might all be pure speculation, since who knows whether Sahin could still play an important part in Real Madrid's season. Mourinho already used that kind of mental strategy with Karim Benzema, and Real Madrid fans will need to wait and see the Turkish player's role this upcoming season.
