Newly promoted Real Madrid Castilla overcame Barcelona B 3-2 thanks to goals by Juanfran, Denis and Óscar Plano. La Fábrica beat La Masía, but Barcelona's youngsters controlled the tempo and possession of the game. Alberto Toril's Castilla decided to play a counterattacking style, and it worked.

Álex Fernández was the key man for Real Madrid's Academy team, and after a bad 2011-2012 he returned to his former self and showed his potential. Jesé couldn't do a lot during the game, but he should still be Castilla's key man if they want to stay in the Segunda División.

Castilla will be playing at Almería next week. The Andalusian team could promote to the Liga BBVA and is currently leading the Liga Adelante table.
