Esteban Granero Joins Queens Park Rangers From Real Madrid

This is it. The end of the Real Madrid road for El Pirata. He joined the club as a kid, spent some seasons playing for Getafe on a loan, and now leaves the club of his life to join Queens Park Rangers. The London team would have reportedly paid a 8M€ fee to get Granero on a five-year contract.

One can only feel sad about Granero. It would have been a beautiful story if he had ended his professional career with Real Madrid, and he certainly would have done so if the team's rivals weren't as strong as they are right now. Unfortunately for him and for Real Madrid, the reality is that he was not going to play at all after Modric's signing. It's better for him to join a Premier League team and see if he can reach a higher ceiling there.

Thank you Pirata, we know you will be supporting the club, and we as Real Madrid fans will be supporting you. Show your support on Managing Madrid's facebook and twitter @managingmadrid.
