  • Sky Sports columnist Guillem Balague argues that Real Madrid are not playing as a team and that Gareth Bale has yet to be deployed properly. According to Balague, "Gareth Bale is still miles away from being fully fit but they don't take advantage of his pace and don't create the conditions for him to have a one-versus-one, it's more like: 'Here's the ball, let's see what you can do'."
  • Marca published a brief editorial praising Cristiano Ronaldo's leadership qualities, especially following his team's defeat to Atlético Madrid. In their story, they say, "Although the Portuguese does not wear the captain's armband, he has always shown a desire to take charge of the team and lead what is a new group, full of youth."
  • A.C. Milan VP Adriano Galliani was asked whether the Italian giants would be interested in signing Iker Casillas. Galliani declined to answer, saying he will not speak about the transfer market until the winter window opens in January 2014.
  • Managing Madrid's Lucas Navarrete covered the press' reports of a dinner between Carlo Ancelotti, Florentino Pérez, and José Ángel Sánchez, as well as a locker room pep talk led by Captains Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos. Ancelotti and Sergio Ramos will attend a press conference today at 16:00 CET, which we will cover on this site. Check back for updates soon!
