The German player injured his left knee this Friday. He will be out until the end of the season. Massive loss for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid will have to deal with Sami Khedira's absence for the remainder of the season after the German player tore his left knee during Germany's draw against Italy. Khedira tried to tackle Andrea Pirlo and he could even miss the 2014 FIFA World Cup if the injury takes longer than expected to heal.

The team will now have to rely on Illarramendi, Alonso, Modric, Isco and Casemiro to play in the midfield, and also Ángel Di María could get some minutes in that spot.

This is a massive loss for Real Madrid as the German player was very important for Carlo Ancelotti and the balance in the midfield.
