Tottenham Hotspurs Targeting Álvaro Morata

In today's Bernabéu Bites we take a look at The Mirror's report about Daniel Levy and Andre Villas-Boas pursuing Álvaro Morata for a loan deal this winter.

  • According to the British daily 'The Mirror', the Spurs would want to get Álvaro Morata to help their scoring problems. Villas-Boas' team has only scored 9 goals in this Premier League so far. Apparently, Carlo Ancelotti would be willing to let Morata go on a loan deal, although he refused to include him in the negotiations for Gareth Bale. With Benzema recovering his shape and Jesé showing how ready he is to play with the first team, it would not be crazy to let Morata develop in London for half a season.
  • Xabi Alonso will not start Wednesday's match against Galatasaray. Brazilian midfielder Casemiro might get the chance to play after his good minutes at Almería. Furthermore, Real Madrid will not be putting anything in danger as the club has virtually secured the first spot in this Group Stage.
  • The fans will wear masks to support Cristiano Ronaldo's race for the FIFA Ballon D'Or. The Bernabéu will also have a big tifo about the Portuguese player, and it's good to see the fans have realized how good of a player he is after signing for the club four years ago.
