  • More support for Ronaldo in his quest for Ballon d'Or. The prestigious magazine FourFourTwo has chosen Cristiano as the best footballer all around the world in 2013, followed by Lionel Messi and Franck Ribéry. As they claim in their report, they have predicted the Fifa Ballon D'Or podium and winner in the last four years. Could this make the fifth in a row? We'll see in a few weeks.
  • Not only Ronaldo, but eleven more madridistas appear in the FourFourTwo top-100 list:
    • 99-100th position: Casillas and Diego López.
    • 93rd position: Raphael Varane.
    • 63rd position: Marcelo.
    • 60th position: Luka Modric.
    • 57th position: Karim Benzema.
    • 49th position: Xabi Alonso.
    • 43rd position: Ángel di María.
    • 35th position: Sergio Ramos.
    • 27th position: Isco Alarcón.
    • 8th position: Gareth Bale.
  • The biggest controversy in Spain is now upon Sergio Ramos. According to several communication media, the Spanish defender has requested a salary raise and, after Florentino Pérez's refusal, has asked if a 65 million euros offer for him would be accepted, possibly implying he wants to leave the team and already has a buyer in case he does not, finally, get this salary increase.
  • It also seems that Morata is earning credit in the Premier League. Not only the Spurs, but also Arsenal might be interested in getting him on loan next January, according to Daily Mail.
