Carlo Ancelotti's team will visit FC Copenhaguen in the last match of this 2013-2014 Champions League Group Stage. The Danish club is still trying to finish third and promote to the UEFA Europe League, but they need a good result against Real Madrid.
Juventus and Galatasaray will battle for the second spot in the meantime. La Vecchia Signora will be in the next round with a draw and a win in Turkey, but Drogba and Yilmaz will try to get a much-needed win.
Again, Real's match against Copenhaguen won't be as exciting. Sergio Ramos is out of the match after the red card he saw against Galatasaray, so Nacho will get another start with Raphäel Varane still trying to rest his knee. Nacho is not the greatest center back, but he should be enough against Copenhaguen strikers Braaten and Vetokele.
It would be a great success for Copenhaguen to play in the Europe League after falling in Juventus and Real's group. Still, they are clearly the worst team, so Real Madrid should not be in trouble against them.
Ancelotti will likely start Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Xabi Alonso and Karim Benzema in order to get them ready for the match against Osasuna after the first three missed Real's last game and Benzema came off the bench. Cristiano Ronaldo has finally recovered from his thigh injury, and he has got enough rest to influence Real Madrid's offensive production. Although Gareth Bale proved himself as a great scorer as well, a football team cannot have enough firepower, so the offensive line will surely welcome Cristiano Ronaldo back.
Real Madrid's focus should be on Saturday's match though. It would not make any sense to risk anybody in a game in which Copenhaguen will play really hard to surprise the European football by earning a spot in the UEFA Europe League.
