The Telegraph: Real Madrid Makes Bid For Tottenham's Gareth Bale

The British newspaper reports Florentino Pérez is willing to make a 50M₤-move for the Welsh winger this next summer. Pérez would like to introduce Bale as one of his re-election signings. Gareth Bale plays on the left-wing for André Villas-Boas' Spurs, but he would likely move to the right flank in Real Madrid.

Every Spanish newspaper is saying Real Madrid wants to sign a striker. This time, England's Telegraph reports that Real Madrid's chairman Florentino Pérez wants to sign winger Gareth Bale. According to that information, Tottenham would ask for around 50M₤ in order to sell one of the best players in the Barclays Premier League.

Real Madrid already knows how a negotiation looks like with Tottenham's boss Daniel Levy. This past summer, Modric spent more than a month training on his own before the teams reached an agreement, so he missed a good preseason and that ended up costing him good minutes at the start of the campaign. Everything could be faster now that Real's season could be much shorter.

Gareth Bale has been playing brilliantly for Tottenham this last month, and he could be a good fit for Real Madrid's right wing, even though he's not played in that spot. Cristiano Ronaldo started his career as a right-winger but ended playing in the left to benefit from his good long-shots. Bale is left-footed, so a similar thing could happen with him.

Tottenham's start has said in many times that Cristiano Ronaldo is his favorite player. He could play with him and Luka Modric next season if Real is that much interested.
