UEFA Champions League, Semifinals: Real Madrid Draws Borussia Dortmund

Real Madrid will play at Dortmund in the first leg of the tie on Wednesday 24th and the German team will go to the Bernabéu on Tuesday 30th. Barcelona and Bayern will play the other tie.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy pulled off yet another miracle for Real Madrid by drawing Borussia Dortmund. Even though Reus, Götze and company defeated los blancos 2-1 at the Signal Iduna Park and still managed to get a 2-2 draw at the Bernabéu in the Group Stage, Real Madrid was clearly short-handed without Coentrao, Marcelo, Khedira and Arbeloa for those games. Dortmund was probably the weakest team in the draw.

Real Madrid will now have a much safer defensive line with Varane's birth as an elite player and both left backs recovered.

Barcelona and Bayern München will fight for a spot in Wembley in what will be an exciting semifinal.
