Real Madrid Basketball Earns Place In The Euroleague Final

Real Madrid's basketball team secured a place in the Euroleague Final after beating FC Barcelona in the O2 Arena in London. Sergio Rodríguez and Felipe Reyes were the team's best players. The team now looks to win the 9th Euroleague to match the football club's record.

Even though neither Nikola Mirotic nor Rudy Fernández played well, Sergio Rodríguez's 12 points and 9 assists helped the team enough to play the Final this Sunday (21:00 CET). FC Barcelona played quite comfortably thoughout the whole match but Rodríguez and Felipe Reyes took over in the 4th quarter and delivered great for los blancos.

Real Madrid's basketball club could win their 9th European title. This is just Pablo Laso's second season as Real Madrid's coach. He has a good roster but nobody expected Real Madrid to succeed in the Euroleague with their run&gun style.

Olympiakos will be Real Madrid's opposition to conquer the title. Vasileios Spanoulis and Kostas Papanikolau are Olympiakos' stars. The Greek club defeated Ettore Messina's CSKA Moscow even though the Russian team appeared to have the edge to win the Final Four.
