Real Madrid Vs. Osasuna, La Liga 2013: Match Preview

The curtains will come down on a dramatic, turbulent, and trophy-less Real Madrid season this Saturday in a match against Osasuna. The Santiago Bernabeu stadium and Madridistas worldwide will bid farewell to the Special One in a game where the scoreline will play second fiddle to the Mister's last appearance in the dugout (for now).

Jose Mourinho and his staff will bid adieu to the Bernabeu with many Real Madrid starters watching from the stands. Mourinho is not the only manager to field a diminished team, though, as Osasuna manager José Luis Mendilibar will only take sixteen players to Madrid, two of whom are members of the youth team.

Real Madrid Squad List:

Goalies: Adán and Jesús.
Defenders: Carvalho, Arbeloa, Albiol, Nacho, Fabinho and Llorente.
Midfielders: Özil, Essien, Modric, Callejón, Di María and Omar.
Forwards: Benzema, Higuaín and Morata.

In team news, Marcelo has already joined the Seleção in anticipation of the Confederations Cup, while Sami Khedira is suspended for the final match of the season due to accumulation of cards. Mourinho might call on Castilla regulars Fabinho, Omar and Real Madrid C center-back Diego Javier Llorente to aid the first team in their quest for victory tomorrow.

Finally, Jupp Heynckes has denied Anatoli Tymoschuk's claim that there's a 99 percent chance that the recently-crowned European champion will coach Real Madrid next season. Heynckes said he'll speak about his future after the German Cup Final tomorrow (if he's in the mood). Furthermore, Liverpool Football Club has released a statement saying striker Luis Suarez is not for sale. Such is the nature of the transfer market rumor mill. Stay tuned, folks.
