Cavani's Family: "Edinson Is In Talks With Manchester City And Real Madrid"

Edinson Cavani's family seems to be thinking about a Real Madrid-kind of transfer. Luis Cavani, Edinson's father, was interviewed by MarcaTV and affirmed his son wants to play for Real Madrid. One day earlier, Cavani's mother said in a Uruguayan radio that the future of her son will be solved soon.

Cavani, Lewandowski and Luis Suárez are Real Madrid's targets for the striker spot in this offseason, if reports are to be believed. Edinson Cavani appears to be close to Real Madrid if his family is speaking the truth:

Edi is speaking with Manchester City and Real Madrid. It will all be solved in about 15 days. Napoli is in our heart, and the president himself told us about an offer by Chelsea FC, but we don't know much about that.

If that wasn't enough, Cavani's father was also interviewed by MarcaTV this Thursday.

Cavani's intention is to play in a Real Madrid-kind of team. He's got the will. Our son tells us privately that he wants to play for Real Madrid, but he cannot say that publicly because that could hurt Napoli. There have been contacts between Real Madrid and us and it will all depend on the clubs' agreement now. Who wouldn't want to play for Real Madrid? Napoli isn't going to negotiate for less than 65M€, but the player's wish is different. I even told him [Cavani] that I wanted to go to Spain and eat a roast with you all, and he just said "That's fine, dad".

Cavani would be a good asset for Real Madrid after Robert Lewandowski reportedly rejected a move to the Spanish capital. Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid agreed a transfer feed of 30M€ but the player is only interested in a move to Bayern Munich, according to Sky Italia's Tancredi Palmeri. Borussia is clearly not interested in selling Lewandowski to Bayern, but if the Polish player doesn't accept the move, he cannot be forced to sign any contract.

According to Marca, Luis Suárez would be one of Ancelotti's targets if Higuaín leaves Real Madrid. The Italian coach would like to have a deal in place for Suárez before selling Higuaín.
