- Even though Xabi Alonso rejoined the squad for a little while this Thursday morning, his final recovery could be postponed until October. That means that Real Madrid will need to find a replacement for the first Liga BBVA fixtures, so Illarramendi and Luka Modric might be excited about the opportunity. But careful, because Casemiro seems to be training well and could get some minutes also. The coaching staff doesn't want to send him on loan, apparently.
- Illarramendi is recovering from a muscle strain that sidelined him for the last two training sessions. Real Madrid's newest signing will be OK, though, as this is a minor injury.
- Coentrao has missed the last couple of sessions because of personal issues that needed to be fixed. The club gave him permission. Apparently, it has something to do with his father. Casado is replacing the Portuguese left back so far, but it also seems that Ancelotti plans to try Cheryshev as a left back to see if the Russian player could play in that position.
- The Gareth Bale saga continues. 'As' reports that Florentino Pérez will meet Tottenham's representatives this Sunday when the team visits England to play against Bournemouth. According to that same story, Tottenham would be willing to increase Bale's salary in order to prevent him from joining Real Madrid.
- Napoli want to sign Gonzalo Higuaín, Marca says. But Real Madrid wants to get 40M€ after Manchester City paid 28M€ for Negredo. If the clubs interested don't increase their offers, Higuaín could stay in Real Madrid, apparently.
- And last but not least, some more rumors about Real Madrid's striker position. If Higuaín stays, Morata could go to Sevilla. But since everybody expects the Argentinian player to be sold, Morata doesn't want to listen to any kind of offer. And according to Marca, Ancelotti has not asked Florentino Pérez to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic away from PSG.
