- Illarramendi made his return to the squad this Friday. He will be able to play against Bournemouth in Real Madrid's first preseason game this next Sunday (20:45 CET). Remember Illarramendi had been out these last three days with a muscle strain.
- According to As, Real Madrid still want to sign a striker. Ancelotti prefers Zlatan Ibrahimovic but the club think it'd be better to sign Luis Suárez because Liverpool would accept Gonzalo Higuaín as a replacement. That way, Real Madrid would have to pay around 10M€ in order to get Suárez out from Liverpool. Suárez's wages would be much cheaper than Ibra's, and it should be noted that Zlatan is much older.
- If Benfica defender Ezequiel Garay signs with Manchester United for a 20M€ fee, Real Madrid would get 10 of those millions. The club kept 50% of Garay's rights when the other 50% was sold for 5.5M€ two years ago. Real Madrid has also earned 4M€ from Negredo's transfer to Manchester City.
- Jesé will sign a new contract soon. At least, that's what Jesé's official newspaper -Marca- says. It will have a release clause of 250M€ in order to prevent him from joining other clubs the easy way. He's expected to sign soon.
- Chelsea has made a bid for Gonzalo Higuaín. Apparently, Mourinho would want to sign him if Rooney doesn't join the Stamford Bridge team.
