Bernabéu Bites, 07.19.2013: Illarramendi Recovers, Ancelotti Wants a Striker

In today's Bernabéu Bites we take a look at Illarramendi's return to the training sessions and the non-stopping rumors about Carlo Ancelotti wanting to sign a striker.

Gonzalo Arroyo Moreno
  • According to As, Real Madrid still want to sign a striker. Ancelotti prefers Zlatan Ibrahimovic but the club think it'd be better to sign Luis Suárez because Liverpool would accept Gonzalo Higuaín as a replacement. That way, Real Madrid would have to pay around 10M€ in order to get Suárez out from Liverpool. Suárez's wages would be much cheaper than Ibra's, and it should be noted that Zlatan is much older.
  • Jesé will sign a new contract soon. At least, that's what Jesé's official newspaper -Marca- says. It will have a release clause of 250M€ in order to prevent him from joining other clubs the easy way. He's expected to sign soon.
  • Chelsea has made a bid for Gonzalo Higuaín. Apparently, Mourinho would want to sign him if Rooney doesn't join the Stamford Bridge team.
