Florentino Pérez spoke to L'Equipe and said some interesting things. He explained Real Madrid's lack of interest about signing any PSG players, and most importantly, Florentino said Cristiano will retire being a Real Madrid player.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the cornerstone of our project. He's the world's greatest player and I can now say that he will end his career in Real Madrid. We haven't received any offer for Cristiano Ronaldo.

It seems that PSG fans are a bit worried about Real Madrid signing Marco Verratti or Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Don't panic, Florentino is there to calm you down:

Real Madrid will not touch any PSG player like Verratti or Ibrahimovic. Ancelotti didn't ask for any of their players, so maybe my words can calm PSG fans a bit.

And finally, there was a lot of speculation about Real Madrid's deal with PSG for Ancelotti. Florentino Pérez explained such deal easily:

I went to Paris last June to talk with Nasser [PSG's owner]. We talked for quite some time and I asked him about Ancelotti. He understood me and answered my request. How much did we pay? I'm not talking about numbers, but not a lot. And Carlo [Ancelotti] made a big effort to join us.

Karim Benzema is set to be Real Madrid's only striker if Higuaín finally signs away from the Bernabéu. This is what Florentino thinks about Benzema:

I think he is very motivated and ready for this season ahead. I also feel that Ancelotti's tactics will suit him better.

Zinedine Zidane has been one of the biggest news this summer. He reportedly recommended Illarramendi and Isco. And the reports were right.

Zidane has that special eye to scout talented players. His recomendations played a big part in the signings of Illarramendi and Isco. It's obvious that I would like him to coach Real Madrid one day.
