Real Madrid, Adidas Unveil Away Kit

Mesut Özil, Álvaro Morata and Karim Benzema presented Real Madrid's away kit in the Adidas Store at the Santiago Bernabéu. It seems that the German brand wants to link this kit with Real Madrid's past.

Karim Benzema, Álvaro Morata and Mesut Özil, all three Adidas players, had to spend their day off presenting Real Madrid's away kit for the 2013-2014 season. The club will have a blue kit once again after some years with a much more darker kit.

The three players also had some words on the preseason so far. Here's what Benzema had to say:

I like blue. It reminds me of the French national team, and the jersey has a good retro look as well. We'll do great with it. It's good for Real Madrid to have a coach like Ancelotti, and Zidane gets along with everybody. I'm fine and now we have to work a lot in order to win it all. I want to get ready for the season, that's all that matters right now. We have a good team. Morata and Jesé are ready to contribute already. I also want to send my support to the families involved in the train accident.

Mesut Özil also had the time to speak his mind out:

I want to say that I'm sorry to hear those sad news. They have all our support. About the shirts, they feel great. We're honoured to wear the same colors than some of Real Madrid's legends wore. Adidas has done a fine job here. I'm proud to be a Real Madrid player, I still have three years left in my contract and all I have to do now is trying to get in shape for the season. Isco is a very good player and a great reinforcement. I'm probably more comfortable in the middle, not in the right wing.

Striker Álvaro Morata is getting used to this kind of events:

I always had the support of my teammates. I earned a lot of confidence this summer, I'm ready to learn from the world's greatest players here. I still have to improve to be a better player. The shirt feels new and it is beautiful. Ancelotti has been really close to us and he has explained what he wants from this team.
