It took some time to sign the contracts and pass the medical, but Gonzalo Higuaín can finally say he's a Napoli player. The Argentinian player arrived in Rome some days ago to pass the medical, but no further information was provided. And finally, SSC Napoli confirmed the deal on their Twitter account:

Higuaín joined Real Madrid on 2007 for 12M€, and he leaves the club with 122 goals in his pocket and leaving 37M€ in Real Madrid's budget. This is certainly not a bad deal for Real Madrid. The Spanish club released the following statement to announce Higuaín's departure.

Real Madrid announce that Gonzalo Higuaín has been transferred to Napoli. The club wants to thank Higuaín for these years of professional work and wish Gonzalo Higuaín success in his new club.
