CR7 Talks Down Imminent Return to Red Devils

During a Q&A session in Singapore, Real Madrid's talisman played down any talk of a return to Manchester United this summer.

Cristiano Ronaldo's contract negotiation (or lack thereof) has been the source of many a Madridista's anxiety, panic, and confusion lately. It seems we can all breathe a little easier...for now.

The Guardian reports that Cristiano Ronaldo is happy with his life in Spain and with playing in La Liga. While Manchester United occupies a special place in the winger's heart and one never knows what the future may hold, Cristiano said he is "playing for Real Madrid, the best team in the world...and is trying to be focused on his team."

While this contract negotiation story is far from over, it's always enjoyable to hear Cristiano speaking warmly about his club, his teammates and his overall experience in the Spanish capital. Cristiano Ronaldo could sign a new contract with Real Madrid in the next few months, Florentino Pérez said. The Portuguese player and Real Madrid are still negotiating for that contract.
