Only two days after Isco's presentation with Real Madrid, it's Dani Carvajal's turn. He spent the last season playing for Bayer Leverkusen, and Real Madrid decided to rebuy him with a 6.5M€ clause, while the German club payed 4M€ to Real Madrid on summer 2012.
Carvajal's role this season is still unknown, but he certainly seems ready to contribute offensively in Real's matches against lesser Liga BBVA teams, since he is a much better offensive threat than Álvaro Arbeloa. He scored one goal and assisted his teammates eight times in 32 Bundesliga matches. He was also selected as one of the best defenders in the German league.
Carvajal was Real Madrid's first signing this offseason, shortly earlier before Casemiro. These two signings came after Real Madrid decided to execute the buyout clause both players had with Leverkusen and Brazilian club Sao Paulo.
