Callejón is Real Madrid's first sold player this summer after the departures of Ricardo Carvalho and Michael Essien as free agents. Rafa Benítez has always liked Real Madrid's winger and that's why the Italian club will pay 10M€ to get him out of the Spanish capital.
José Callejón has been a Real Madrid player for two seasons after he joined the club out of Espanyol for a 5M€ fee. He had a very successful first season but his contribution to the squad in the 2012-2013 campaign wasn't the best. Real Madrid plans to give Callejón's minutes to Jesé, one of Real Madrid's best prospects.
