Real Madrid Unveil Roster and Numbers, #11 Available

Not a whole lot of changes from Real Madrid's preseason matches, but these numbers are now official. Casemiro changes #26 for #16 and the club leaves #11 free for the taking.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

It's not usual to see players changing their number from the preseason games, but Brazilian midfielder Casemiro has decided to pick up #16 and leave #26. Denis Cheryshev and Antonio Adán have no number at this point of time as both of them are likely to be leaving the club soon -Cheryshev likely on loan-.

This is the list:

    1. Iker Casillas
    2. Raphäel Varane
    3. Pepe
    4. Sergio Ramos
    5. Fàbio Coentrao
    6. Sami Khedira
    7. Cristiano Ronaldo
    8. Kaka'
    9. Karim Benzema
    10. Mesut Özil
    11. ****** **** (¿?)
    12. Marcelo
    13. Jesús Fernández
    14. Xabi Alonso
    15. Daniel Carvajal
    16. Casemiro
    17. Álvaro Arbeloa
    18. Nacho Fernández
    19. Luka Modric
    20. Jesé Rodríguez
    21. Álvaro Morata
    22. Ángel Di María
    23. Isco Alarcón
    24. Asier Illarramendi
    25. Diego López

You can check out Pedro's deep analysis of Real Madrid's squad right here. One could argue that Real Madrid decided to save that #11 for Bale. Ricardo Carvalho was the last player sporting that number during the 2012-2013 campaign.

The team now has 24 players without Denis Cheryshev and Adán. If they leave the club and Bale finally signs with los blancos, Real Madrid would have a complete 25-men roster.
