According to Tancredi Palmeri and The Guardian, Real Madrid will try to sign Luis Suárez until the transfer deadline. Even though the roster appears to be closed if the club signs Gareth Bale, the British newspaper might have something to do with Arsenal's reported chase of Karim Benzema and/or Ángel Di María.
Guardian reports Real Madrid making a move for Suarez. I can confirm, for what that counts, that it's 100% true. And they'll try until deadline

It seems that Real Madrid fans will not get a break until the transfer deadline comes. Gareth Bale's transfer saga appears to be almost confirmed, but los blancos could still be chasing another big signing if The Guardian's report is to be believed.
Liverpool FC would reject every bid, according to the British daily.
The rumor would only make sense if Karim Benzema or Ángel Di María are sold. Suárez could improve Real Madrid's striker position a lot if any of those moves happen. But in any case the club would be willing to make a big investment on Suárez if Benzema and Di María stay and Gareth Bale inks his contract with Real Madrid.
