Mesut Özil Wants Out

According to numerous reports from Spain, Mesut Özil wants to leave Real Madrid. It could be an strategy from his agent -and father- to get a new contract, though.

Just when everyone thought that Ángel Di María was the player on his way out of Real Madrid if Bale signs for los blancos, reports in Spain suggest that Real Madrid will accept Manchester United's bid for Mesut Özil.

Karim Benzema's agent denied the rumors of the French player's departure, while Ángel Di María definitely wants to stay in the Spanish capital. Now, El Confidencial and As report that not only Manchester United are interested in landing Özil, but also the German player wants out.

It could all be a move by Mustafa Özil -Mesut's agent- to get his son a new contract. Özil wants to get more money -reports indicate that he asks for 7M€ per year-, while the club would not be willing to give him such a big raise just yet.

If David Moyes makes an effort to get his services, Özil could leave Madrid due to the big number of advanced playmakers in the roster. Furthermore, he's not very comfortable playing in his new right wing position under Carlo Ancelotti, while Bale and Di María would fit there perfectly.
