Real Madrid will have to play the following Group B opponents and place at least second to advance to the next round of the UEFA Champions League: Juventus, Galatasaray, and FC Copenhagen.
Italian champions Juventus will undoubtedly challenge Madrid for the first position thanks to the talent of Andrea Pirlo, Carlos Tevez, Gianluigi Buffon and Arturo Vidal, among others. Carlo Ancelotti will need to draw on his formidable Serie A experience to best the powerful Italian side.
Real Madrid will once again face off against Turkish side Galatasaray featuring the likes of Didier Drogba, Wesley Sneijder, Felipe Melo and Hamit Altintop. Galatasaray's physical play and never-say-die attitude caught Madrid by surprise in last season's Champions League quarterfinals, leading to an exciting and heart-pounding finish in Istanbul. Ancelotti's men will know not to underestimate Galatasaray this time around.
Danish Superliga champions FC Copenhagen round out Group B. While Real Madrid should not let their guard down against the Danes, Copehnagen should prove easier than Juventus and Galatasaray.
What do you think of the draw?
