Isco, Marcelo, Cristiano Ronaldo and Modric arrived in Madrid to treat their injuries and, if possible, get ready for the game against Villarreal. While Isco, Ronaldo and Modric only have knocks and remain questionable for that match, Marcelo will not be able to participate after he suffered a harmstring injury in Brazil's win against Australia.
On the other hand, Illarramendi could be ready to play at Villarreal. If Modric is definitely sidelined, Illarra could step it up and balance Real Madrid's thin midfield after this FIFA break. He should be reintroduced to the squad slowly, though, but with Isco also possibly out, Ancelotti's options in the midfield are much smaller.
Raphäel Varane is also about to rejoin the team's training sessions after spending the summer recovering from his meniscus injury. The team will surely welcome him back, even though Pepe and Ramos are recovering some of their old groove in these past matches.
Gareth Bale could also play some minutes in Wales' game against Serbia this Tuesday, even though he scanned his groin to see if his small problems were a serious strain or not. It seems that an injury was ruled out and Bale could participate in the game for about 30 minutes.
