Rumors about a potential loan deal for Álvaro Morata are constantly reported by the British press. Whether it could be Arsenal or the Tottenham Hotspurs, the truth is that the Spanish striker could very well be looking to find playing time in London. Both of those clubs desperately need a striker, although it's hard to foresee him starting ahead of Roberto Soldado or Olivier Giroud.
But a loan could definitely help Morata. The fan-favorite started the season fairly well, scoring Real Madrid's game-winner against Levante and seeing teammate Karim Benzema struggle. Furthermore, he was Ancelotti's first option when firepower was needed. Now, Jesé Rodríguez, -aka Big Flow- has been Real Madrid's savior. First, he scored Real's winner against Valencia, but he didn't stop there. Jesé assisted Benzema for Real Madrid's first goal against Celta Vigo and got back to scoring form against Osasuna in the Copa del Rey.
Jesé can play in all four offensive positions. He could even take on Benzema's role as a striker, although it's quite obvious that he is at his best on Cristiano Ronaldo's left wing. Still, he has adapted brilliantly to the right -he scored the goal against Valencia on that position- and could also play behind the striker, as he showed against Osasuna. Therefore, Morata's minutes could be decreased significantly.
With Karim Benzema also finding his groove into Ancelotti's system, the most-logical scenario would be to send Morata on a loan deal to a team where he can develop properly. Although he's definitely an interesting and promising prospect, he has also shown that he still needs to mature and grow up as a player. Jesé, on the other hand, seems much ready to face Real Madrid's upcoming tests.
Ancelotti has publicly refused to speak about Real Madrid's potential departures during this winter window, but an Álvaro Morata loan deal could definitely be on the books.
