It was a brief press conference after the dominating performance over Betis.
On Bale and the team's overall performance: "Bale played well, just like the entire team. We were really focused, especially at the beginning. We defended well and we attacked well. Everything went right in this game and we're happy about that. It looks easy in the end but before each game I have problems. We just prepared well for this one."
Ancelotti also shared his thoughts on Betis's struggles today: "They tried to play as well as they could. It's clear that after scoring the first goal, the game changed and we had found spaces to attack. It was normal for them to attack to try to tie the game."
On the importance of this win: "This game was important to try and get closer to the first place. At least we'll sleep well tonight."
Finally (I told you this was brief), Carletto talked about Modric's brilliant game: "I like him. He was very effective but that goes for the entire team. I think everybody contributed on creating chances to score. We played fast on the attack, especially in the second half when we had a lot of chances to score. I think the role of our midfielders, especially Modric's was really important today."
