Xabi Alonso Will Sign Two-Year Contract With Real Madrid, Could Be Announced Today

Breaking news. Xabi Alonso will sign a two-year deal with Real Madrid in the next few hours. According to Josep Pedrerol and Marca -and the rest of the Spanish press-, the Spanish midfielder has agreed to sign this extension after recovering properly from his pubalgia, which was his main concern.

The deal could be official before Real Madrid's match against Osasuna (Thursday, 21:30 CET).

Therefore, Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid have what they want. One of the world's greatest midfielders will stay for two more years, and Asier Illarramendi will be able to learn from that as well.
