Report: Dani Carvajal injury nothing serious

The Spanish right back was subbed off as a precaution.

It was strange to see Carvajal being subbed off during Real Madrid's win against Granada. The right back plays through pain very often, and some fans were worried that he could be out for a while with a muscle injury. Still, sources within Real Madrid say that he left the match as a precaution after feeling pain, nothing else.

Still, Carlo Ancelotti will probably want to rest Carvajal on Tuesday's game against Liverpool. Real's roster is not very deep in the right back position and it would be devastating to lose Carvajal. That's why it wouldn't make sense to rush his recovery process, as Real Madrid's next two matches should be fairly manageable. Real will host Liverpool on Tuesday having all but clinched the first place in the Champions League Group and Rayo Vallecano will visit the Bernabéu next Saturday in what should be an easy game for Los Blancos as well. Arbeloa and Nacho should be replacing Carvajal if needed.
