Asier Illarramendi is back with the squad after spending the last couple of weeks recovering from a small muscle injury.
These are certainly good news for Carlo Ancelotti, as Illarramendi could replace Luka Modric in some matches. It's true that Isco has proved to be a good fit for Real Madrid's midfield, but Illarramendi's defensive presence could be used against some bigger teams too. Furthermore, Real Madrid will have a very busy schedule next January, so Illarramendi will be used to rotate the squad a bit.
