Cruzeiro board reportedly angry at Real Madrid over negotiations for Lucas Silva

Important news about the Lucas Silva-saga. Apparently, Cruzeiro are angry at Real Madrid after Los Blancos refused to pay €15 million to sign the Brazilian midfielder. Florentino Pérez and his board are offering a maximum of €12 million, a price tag unacceptable, according to Cruzeiro.

That's not as significant of a difference as it may seem, but Real Madrid will need to spend those €15 million if they want to acquire Silva, as Cruzeiro director Alexandre Mattos was quoted days ago saying that Los Blancos will "get Silva when they show respect."

In any case, Real Madrid have lost some interest in the midfielder now that Luka Modric's recovery process is going better than expected. Furthermore, Sami Khedira is now willing to sign a contract extension that would shut the door for any potential signings in this winter market.
