Real Madrid have been working hard to be able to have Isco in the lineup next Saturday against Celta de Vigo, but it seems it will not be possible. Although the second yellow card that our #23 got last weekend against Málaga looks unfair, the Video Appeals Committee consider that "it does not allow them to clearly conclude that there has been a manifest error of fact in the description the referee makes in the game record" and that, as a result, it is the referee's judgement the one that counts.
Given the current state of the facts, the only possibility that could enable Isco to play on Saturday would be a new appeal by Real Madrid, directed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Given the short time available, Real Madrid could ask for a temporary suspension of the ban that would enable Isco to play until the final decision is made.
